Economic Impact of Clinical Trials in Oregon
A study by Battelle Technology Partnership Practice found that in 2013 alone, there were 904 active industry-sponsored, site-based clinical trials in Oregon, with an estimated enrollment of 10,620 Oregon residents. Oncology had the leading clinical trial enrollment in the state. The investment of these site-based clinical trials was nearly $107 million and the estimated total economic impact was more than $264 million.
